La Quadriennale di Roma 2020

Quadriennale d’arte 2020 (11月6日更新)

Quadriennale d’arte 2020

We have waited for so long. Now, for italian contemporary art, is time to come OUT. The exhibition Quadriennale d’arte 2020 FUORI, curated by Sarah Cosulich and Stefano Collicelli Cagol, presents 43 artists, with monographic displays and new works, giving back an original image of Italian art at an international level.

FUORI is a liberation from any constraint or category that harnessed art and individuals. The Quadriennale d’arte 2020 wants to be OUT of mind, OUT of fashion, OUT of time, OUT of scale, OUT of the game, OUT of place, through the works and research of the artists presented.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy and its network collaborate with the Quadriennale in the international promotion of Italian contemporary art.

Sarah Cosulich and Stefano Collicelli Cagol give a preview of the 2020 Art Quadriennale FUORI, an exhibitionfeaturing43artists from different generations – from the pioneers of the avant-garde of the Sixties to the contemporary talents.

FUORI overcomes limits and categories between disciplines, mediums, gender and genre, presenting contaminations between visual arts, theater, dance, cinema, fashion, architecture, music and design.
FUORI wants to create new genealogies. The exhibition aims to indicate unprecedented perspectives for reading Italian art, insisting on the multidisciplinary and variety of the medium. For the first time in the history of the exhibition there will be more female artists than men.

FUORI is an invitation to think outside the box, to take an eccentric position – outside of the center – to adopt an oblique gaze, a mutual relationship with the other and oneself.

Sarah Cosulich and Stefano Collicelli Cagol on the research process involved around Art Quadrenniale 2020 FUORI (OUT).

FUORI is not a themed exhibition, but has been nurtured by the research on three different fields: the Palace, as a metaphor for the relationship between art and power, its venue being Palazzo delle Esposizioni; Desire, because seduction goes hand in hand with art; the Incommensurable, the need of art to transcend known boundaries of what is known to cross the threshold of the unimaginable.
